Job responsibilities
At Rockbite Games a Game Artist is responsible for:
- Contributing to the overall look and style of games
- Designing characters, environments, and other in-game assets
- Creating multiple sketches for each concept or brief
- Illustrating dynamic objects, environments, and characters.
- Creating key art from rendered game art, enhance preexisting art, or create it from scratch
Required qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Strong Skills in:
- Perspective
- Material Rendering
- Composition
- Color Theory
- Strong Digital drawing skills
- Ability to mimic multiple artistic styles
- Knowledge of video/mobile games, fantasy, and science fiction genres
- Delivery of readable sketches and drafts
- Experience with concept art and/or UI development
Requirements:
- Ability to sketch out ideas and bring them to polished rendering ready to be used in game
- Ability to match existing style of games at Rockbite, as well as propose new changes
- Knowledge of 3D software is a plus
Required candidate level: Junior
Additional information
We’re not looking for just artists, we’re looking for Game Artists. This means that you are passionate about games and specifically mobile video games. You understand how they tick and what are the current industry trends, and most importantly - you know how to bring them to the next level.
