Job description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-oriented and experienced Licensing and Certification Officer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team.

Job responsibilities

  • Conducts research on regulatory requirements of various jurisdictions which Digitain Group companies contemplate for B2B market-entry purposes
  • Monitors changes to regulatory requirements of jurisdictions where Digitain Group companies already have legal presence and/or are engaged in business activities
  • Drafts reports and summaries on regulatory requirements, covering the necessary corporate requirements, product compliance requirements, IP ownership and other legal requirements and presents those to the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager
  • Communicates with various gaming advisors, legal advisors, certification and testing laboratories, licensing and other regulatory authorities;
  • Assists the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager in preparation of substantiated internal inquiries addressed to the CLO for the engagement of external advisors on matters related to licensing and certification, conducts research on legal advisors and testing/certification labs
  • Assists the process of collection of necessary documents and materials while applying for foreign licenses, assists the general efforts of the Legal Directorate in preparation and reviewing of relevant corporate restructuring arrangements, IP transfer and registration arrangements, contract drafting and review (as long as those form material part of the application package or are required from regulatory compliance perspective), checks if all product related and other relevant information is properly provided by product owners and developers
  • Upon instruction of the line manager, engages directly with partners of Digitain Group, business cooperation with which requires certification of Digitain Group products or who are assisting Digitain Group in government relations (as long as licensing is concerned) or certification matters
  • Upon instruction of the line manager reports to Digitain Group level or entity level committees, responsible for making corporate decisions on market entry or regulatory matters
  • Reports to the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager, prepares and submits reports and status updates on the progress, as well as escalates the review of applications, corporate and other documents to the attention of the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager
  • Assists the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager to keep track of the Digitain Group licenses and certificates, as well as to keep track of and run the portfolio of such licenses and certificates
  • Conducts research on and helps the Licensing & Certification Unit Manager to provide advice and assistance with respect to any disputes relating to the executed contracts of Digitain Group, as long as such dispute is related to the regulatory compliance of Digitain Group entities and Digitain products
  • Ensures adherence to the internal documentation flow procedures and standards and uses the assigned platforms and instruments for such purposes
  • Performs other functions directly associated with the ones listed above or so defined under Digitain Group policies and guidelines

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications in compliance would be advantageous
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Regulatory Compliance in international organization. Gaming industry will be a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Gaming industry regulations, laws, and best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the company's values and compliance culture
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in using compliance-related software and tools
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset
