As a Senior Web Software Engineer on the Business Tools team, you will provide users with new AI-centric tools that help them easily create great images. We are developing tools that enable users to detect objects, replace or remove them, change backgrounds, and even expand their images.

To create these innovative tools, close collaboration with team members and the product team is essential. Quick syncs and huddles throughout the day are a common part of our dynamic work environment.

As a Senior Web Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cross-functional, performant, and scalable web applications with a focus on user experience.

You Will

• Develop functional, performant and scalable web applications with JavaScript and React
• Create high-quality code that is scalable, reliable and reusable. Implement unit tests (min 80% coverage) and write technical documents if needed, identify risks beforehand.
• Write unit/integration tests to ensure the high quality of the application
• Analyze the product design complexity, plan workload, communicate risks
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, code reviews, testing, and production deployment
• Develop new user-facing features
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Work closely with stakeholders, PM’s and Researchers to deliver new features.
• Own the front-end roadmap tasks for the initiative and work closely with mobile and backend teams.
• Have to constantly update your stakeholders about the progress, and share ideas with the product team proactively.
• Own tasks end-to-end, including task breakdown, accurate estimations, and WEB task ownership.
• Foster smooth collaboration and progress through effective cross-team communication and consistent follow-up.

About You

• BS/MA degree in a highly quantitative field or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience as a JavaScript Engineer or in a similar position
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies, with ReactJS being essential
• Proficiency with JSS, SASS, PostCSS, and JSX
• Experience with Canvas & Maths (Basic Geometry Trigonometry, Transformation matrix, Two Dimensional Coordinate Geometry) is a must.
• Experience with Responsive/Adaptive Web Design and Single Page Applications, as well as PageSpeed, Lighthouse, and Chrome Performance tools
• Knowledge of JS and CSS performance optimizations is advantageous, as is experience with Redux and RESTful web services
• Familiarity with build tools like Webpack is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a global team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required
