Job description:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner. Enthusiasm for the job, initiative, efficiency, and flexibility in completing tasks is essential as this person is the community’s first contact with the school.

Job responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls.

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, provide appropriate information and directions.

  • Direct and accompany visitors/guests/members to appointments or meetings.

  • Work with security personnel to monitor visitors’ access.

  • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence, mail, messages, and courier deliveries.

  • Provide translations of documents, or act as translator, when necessary.

  • Schedule appointments, maintain and update calendars, and possibly remind the respective personnel of appointments.

  • Create, coordinate and print reports and other documents.

  • Receive payments, record receipts for student activities.

  • Assist with school purchase orders.

  • Take and resolve complaints from community members, always being positive even in the face of negativity.

  • Support the Mission, Vision, and core values of QSI at school and by attending special school events when necessary.

  • Perform basic clerical duties, such as photocopying.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director and Finance Manager

Required qualifications

  • University diploma

  • 1-2 years of related experience (Experience in an office or school environment will be preferred).

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Fluency or advanced level of ability in Armenian, English, Russian is helpful.

  • Experience in multicultural, multinational, and multi-ethnic environments preferred.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with a high level of interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment.

  • Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible working hours.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word and Excel as well as office equipment like copiers and printers.

  • Globally minded and eager to work with people from diverse backgrounds and holding diverse viewpoints.
