Job description:
At TUMO we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Architect to join our design team. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in collaborating with our design team to create cutting-edge solutions for our projects. Your responsibilities will include integrating design concepts with construction methods, optimizing expenditures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and functional solutions for projects
- Research material, supplier and construction methodology to ensure the best fit for the project
- Seek out and recommend design efficiencies to optimize cost savings in labor, materials and ongoing operational costs of project designs
- Liaise with suppliers, consultants and contractors to ensure works are specified in accordance with architectural intent
- Review and assess contract variations and invoices submitted by design consultants
- Conduct site inspection during the construction phase to ensure work is carried out in a proper and timely manner, in accordance with construction documentation and the requirements of permits
- Mentor junior architects in the practice of architecture
- Collaborate with construction teams to resolve design-related issues during the construction phase
- Supervise team of architects in developing design and construction documents for various projects
- Supervise coordination of design consultants to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts
- Collaborate with Project Managers in the process of filling out and submitting the necessary applications for construction permits and other documents within the framework of the program
- Providing support to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, compiling design schedules, and task assignments as needed
- Organize and conduct meetings with contractors and designers to discuss project requirements and provide professional architectural consultations
- Develop conceptual designs considering architectural trends and modern technologies
- Monitor compliance with the architectural style and concept of the project at all stages of construction
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field of architectural design and construction technologies
- Ensure compliance of the project with all applicable construction norms, rules, and standards
- Participate in the development of architectural documents and specifications for the project
- Ensue compliance with the project budget and cost control
- Seek innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions for integration into projects
- Provide expert support on architectural issues to other team members and clients
- Participate in the assessment and development of the studio's or company's project capabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver successful projects
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors
- Ability to conduct comprehensive site inspections and ensure compliance with construction documentation and regulatory requirements
- Track record of successfully managing project progress, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with Project Managers
- Strong problem-solving skills to address design-related issues during the construction phase
- Experience in supervising architectural teams and coordinating design consultants
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with the process of obtaining construction permits and other necessary documentation, as applicable to Armenia
- Experience in preparing documentation according to international standards is desirable
