Job description:

TUMO is looking for a Wordpress online platform developer who will develop and customize WordPress websites, write and update plugins, design and arrange web content and maintenance of TUMO’s Wordpress sites.

Job responsibilities

Develop, deploy and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications
Manage effective operations of TUMO Online Platforms (marketing and ecommerce sites)
Ensure smooth operation of our WooCommerce based online store
Continuous review of website portfolio for improvement & enrichment
Support requests for website feature enhancements and bug fixes
Improve internal tools and processes.

Required qualifications

2+ years’ experience developing and maintaining custom themes and plugins for WordPress
Extensive knowledge of WordPress and PHP
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
Working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
Demonstrates and enjoys a balance of creative and technical skills
Self-starter with excellent time management, flexibility and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with technical and non-technical people
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Required candidate level: Mid level

What is TUMO?

TUMO is a new kind of educational experience at the intersection of technology and design.

At TUMO, teens learn because they want to. They’re given the tools and knowhow they need to reach their maximum potential, and they chart their own learning path through hands-on activities, workshops and projects.

The TUMO learning program is made up of self-learning activities, workshops and project labs around 14 learning targets. Teens combine these into personal learning paths that adapt to their evolving preferences and rate of progress.

TUMO has centers in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Stepanakert and work is underway to open centers in Koghb and Masis. TUMO Boxes are already in operation in the towns of Berd, Gavar, Sevan, Vayk, Kapan and Martakert. Many more TUMO Boxes will open soon in various towns throughout Armenia and Artsakh. Outside of Armenia, there are centers in Paris, Beirut, Moscow, Tirana, Berlin and Lyon. Centers will soon open in several other cities around the world.
