Job description:
The TUMO Center Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management and performance of a TUMO Center. The role involves overseeing daily operations, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the successful implementation of TUMO's educational programs.

Job responsibilities
Operational Leadership
-
Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the TUMO Center.

Ensure the efficient use of resources, including staff, technology, and facilities.

Implement and enforce TUMO policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize center performance.

Represent TUMO in community events and host visitors
Team Management
-
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of educators, mentors, and administrative staff.
-
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
-
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
-
Support professional development initiatives for the team.
Student Engagement
-
Oversee student engagement strategies to enhance the learning experience.
-
Address student concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.

Collaborate with the Operations Team to monitor and improve student performance metrics.
Educational Program Implementation
-
Ensure the successful delivery of TUMO's educational programs.
-
Collaborate with educational experts to continuously improve curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Monitor the impact of changes made to educational processes and curricula.
Community Engagement
-
Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, educational institutions, and relevant stakeholders.

Represent TUMO at community events and engage in outreach activities.
Technology and Infrastructure
-
Oversee the maintenance and functionality of technology infrastructure.

Collaborate with the IT team to address technical issues promptly.

Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
Required qualifications

Highly dynamic and active personality with proven experience of team management

Ability and willingness to lead, guide and motivate others towards a common goal

Ability to think creatively and strategically, and to work in a changing environment

Ability to assess and prioritize the different elements of a situation or problem and identify critical issues

Higher degree from a recognized university
-
Excellent communication skills, including written communication, personal interaction and public presentation in Armenian and English languages

Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills

What is TUMO?
TUMO is a new kind of educational experience at the intersection of technology and design.
At TUMO, teens learn because they want to. They’re given the tools and knowhow they need to reach their maximum potential, and they chart their own learning path through hands-on activities, workshops and projects.

TUMO has centers in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Stepanakert and work is underway to open centers in Koghb and Masis. TUMO Boxes are already in operation in the towns of Berd, Gavar, Sevan, Vayk, Kapan and Martakert. Many more TUMO Boxes will open soon in various towns throughout Armenia and Artsakh. Outside of Armenia, there are centers in Paris, Beirut, Moscow, Tirana, Berlin and Lyon. Centers will soon open in several other cities around the world.
