The American University of Armenia (AUA) invites applications for the position of Director, Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.

The American University of Armenia is a privately endowed, independent American institution of higher education affiliated with the University of California. Located in Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia, it has an enrollment of about 2,000 students, including 469 graduate students. The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) provides compliance, assessment, faculty training and development, and other services to the university. OIRA collects, compiles, analyzes, reports, and archives information in support of AUA administrative and academic units and in the promotion of continuous improvement and ongoing quality assurance.

Required qualifications

Candidates should have an earned master’s degree (doctorate degree is preferable) in education, program evaluation, public administration, or a related field.

The successful candidate should have a professional record that demonstrates the ability to work simultaneously on a variety of complex tasks; an ability to lead a team on compliance, statistical analysis, and reporting functions; evidence of strong communication and collaboration skills; and experience in higher education.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work closely with Academic Affairs and across colleges, programs, and academic support units. Prior academic experience in an international setting, and knowledge of Armenia, CIS countries, Eastern Europe, and/or the Middle East are preferred.

This full-time position requires the incumbent to reside in Armenia.
