EBRD Investment Council Armenia

The European Bank for reconstruction and development is looking experts for the EBRD-supported Investment Councils (ICs). ICA is one of 11 Investment Councils currently supported by EBRD as part of the Bank’s Investment Climate and Governance Initiative (ICGI) and funded by the UK Government’s Good Governance Fund. The Investment Councils play a key role in efforts to improve the business and investment climates in their countries, by providing a platform for public-private dialogue between senior government figures and representatives from the private sector. This public-private dialogue between the authorities and the private sector is essential for identifying the key challenges for businesses and investors and shaping the necessary reforms to address them. It also provides governments with the necessary support from the private sector to deliver these reforms.  Since its inception, the EBRD-supported ICA has facilitated policy dialogue and regular consultations between the Ministry of Economy (in charge of reform implementation) and the private sector. Within the 17 years of operation ICA has implemented over 40 reform impacting over 85,000 businesses in Armenia
