Chemonics International seeks a Training Coordinator for the five-year U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Armenia Strategic Communications Support Activity. The Activity will support the Government of Armenia (GOAM) to build effective streamlined, data-driven, and citizen-centered strategic communications systems, capacity, and practices. Specifically, the Activity will support GOAM in the following three main focus areas: 1) enable the institutional set-up and talent management of the public sector’s streamlined strategic communications; 2) ensure the public sector has institutionalized systems and capacity for data-driven information management to inform strategic communications; and 3) foster citizen-centered strategic communications and public outreach.

Position Description:

The Training Coordinator will work as a part of the Component 1 team to assist in the planning, management, and delivery of specialized trainings on strategic communications for Armenian government staff. The Training Coordinator will support the logistics for all Armenian Strategic Communications Support Activity’s trainings, workshops, conferences, working groups, and program events.

Աշխատանքային պարտականություններ

  • Work with the Component 1 team to plan and implement trainings, workshops, and other program events, and develop associated training or resource materials for these activities

  • Support Component 1, and as directed, Component 2 and 3 team members in the administration, operations, and overall logistics associated with training activities

  • Monitor training delivery to ensure that all training needs are met and troubleshoot any issues as they arise

  • Provide support to counterpart attendees at program activities, such as trainings or workshops, to ensure efficient participation

  • Ensure effective programmatic follow up with training participants and other relevant stakeholders after the trainings, workshops, or other types of program events are completed

  • Ensure smooth and effective collaboration with a wide pool of stakeholders engaged in the capacity building activities, including the GOAM, local and international strategic communications experts and trainers, civil society organizations, media, the private sector, research and analytical companies, and other stakeholders

  • Conduct market research to ensure accurate training budgeting and work with the finance and operations team to obtain quotations for necessary services, such as catering and lodging

  • Ensure that all proper documentation for training-related payments is obtained and provided to the finance and operations team for their review and action, and then filed according to Chemonics’ best practices and file systems

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Անհրաժեշտ հմտություններ

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, business, new media, public relations, or other related field required

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in strategic communications, training delivery, and/or logistical management for government or other relevant organizations

  • Excellent time management, coordination skills, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines

  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of the team

  • Previous USAID or other donor experience and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to fully and effectively communicate in English, both oral and written, is required
