Job responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the production of cast iron components, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement casting processes and techniques to optimize production.
- Conduct metallurgical analysis and testing of cast iron materials.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop cast iron products that meet customer specifications.
- Monitor and control casting parameters to ensure consistency and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cast iron casting processes.
- Maintain and update documentation related to casting procedures and quality control.
- Train and mentor production staff on casting techniques and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance casting processes and reduce costs.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cast iron production and casting processes.
- Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and material properties of cast iron.
- Proficiency with metallurgical analysis and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
