Job responsibilities

• Lead the team in developing and deploying a robust, high-availability MySQL architecture suitable for high-traffic environments on AWS or another cloud platform.
• Optimize and fine-tune MySQL for enhanced performance and scalability within a cloud setting.
• Implement appropriate replication, clustering, or sharding strategies tailored to workload needs to guarantee high availability and resilience.
• Deploy automated failover systems and monitoring tools to reduce downtime and maintain data integrity.
• Integrate Clickhouse and Postgres as needed for specialized tasks like analytics or specific data processing needs.
• Expertise in adjusting server settings to achieve peak performance and consistent stability.
• Skilled in enhancing the OS to support database server operations efficiently.
• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex database metrics to refine performance and address issues.
• Establish thorough monitoring solutions to effectively oversee database performance, availability, and resource usage.
• Hands-on experience with intricate database configurations, including multi-master replication, distributed databases, and high-availability architectures.

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of Leading experience
• Extensive background in establishing high-availability (HA) setups for MySQL databases in demanding, high-traffic settings.
• Adept at utilizing cloud platforms like AWS or other similar services for database deployment and management.
• Robust skills in setting up and fine-tuning ClickHouse and Postgres databases to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• In-depth knowledge of server configurations to maximize database efficiency, including optimizing OS settings for database-centric workloads.
• Proficient in analyzing and deciphering intricate database metrics to pinpoint performance issues and enhance database operation.
• Demonstrated ability in implementing comprehensive monitoring solutions to guarantee database availability and performance.
• Practical experience with intricate database architectures, encompassing sharding, replication, clustering, and distributed systems.
• Effective troubleshooting capabilities to swiftly identify and rectify database problems, reducing downtime and safeguarding data consistency.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate efficiently with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in database management, cloud services, or related domains would be an advantage.
